Bathroom brand hib. has launched its corporate charity partnership with Ronald McDonald House Charities UK in dramatic fashion — beginning with a 14,000-foot skydive and hands-on volunteering support for families in hospital accommodation.
To celebrate the start of the partnership, hib.’s digital marketing executive Jatiee Dhnota took to the skies — quite literally — raising £600 by completing a tandem skydive from 14,000 feet. The company has pledged to match that amount, bringing the total donation to £1,200.
“Taking part in the charity skydive to mark the start of our partnership with our new corporate charity partner was one of the most exhilarating and emotional things I have ever done,” said Dhnota. “What better way to celebrate turning 30 than jumping out of a plane for a good cause! I truly hope the money raised helps make a real difference to those who need it most.”
The charity’s corporate fundraiser, Laura Bennett, praised the effort: “Huge thanks to Jatiee for taking the plunge – literally! Jumping out of a plane to raise money takes serious guts, and we’re so proud of her amazing effort.”
Alongside the skydive, five members of the hib. Community Panel visited Ronald McDonald House in Birmingham to offer practical support. The team packed and distributed 65 wellness kits containing toiletries and handwritten notes of encouragement for families staying at the House while their children receive hospital care.
Volunteers also helped clean communal kitchens and living areas, contributing to the charity’s mission of providing a home-from-home for families during difficult times.
“We’re incredibly thankful to hib. for launching this partnership with such compassion and care,” said Bennett. “The wellbeing packs have made a powerful impact already. For families receiving them, these packs are so much more than just items — they’re a reminder that our partners care about them and want to offer support during these difficult times. It’s kindness like this that truly makes a difference.”
hib. has signalled that this is just the beginning of its fundraising and volunteering activity with the charity, which supports families with children in hospital across the UK.
